Zack's PRIORITIES

Priorities Focused on Students, Families, and Educators

Strong schools begin with clear priorities and a shared commitment to students, families, and educators. As Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools, my focus is simple: put students first, support educators, and keep families connected to their schools.

That commitment is reflected in five core priorities to strengthen our schools and prepare students for the future in Tuolumne County.

  • Transparency with Parents
  • Student Achievement Tailored to Personal Goals
  • Homegrown Educators and Teacher Support
  • Fact-Based Education
  • School Safety

Together, these priorities help ensure our schools remain safe, accountable, community-focused, and dedicated to helping every student succeed.

Transparency with Parents

Parents deserve access, clarity, and honest communication. Zack is committed to transparency in curriculum, materials, and spending so families can stay informed and involved.

Student Achievement Tailored to Personal Goals

Every student’s path is different. Zack supports personalized learning and strong CTE programs that connect students to real-world skills, future careers, and local opportunity.

Homegrown Educators and Teacher Support

Strong schools depend on strong teachers. Zack is investing in local talent through the Teacher Residency Program, mentorship for new educators, and professional development that helps teachers succeed.

Fact-Based Education

Zack believes schools should focus on academics, character, and community, not politics. Students should be taught how to think, not what to think.

School Safety

Safe schools are essential. Zack supports stronger emergency systems, collaboration with law enforcement, and programs that help students facing adversity and trauma.
